Porsche are of cause the most successful car manufacture to race at Le mans. So as you'd expect there are lots of Porsche Le Mans model kits. The story of the 917 starts in 1968 when the governing body passed a rule that engines could not be larger than 3.0 litres (unless you produced 25 cars of the same model and you could have a 5.0 litre engine). Enter Porsche... who took there secretaries and got them to build 25 917's. They were fast but there was so much chassis flex that the gear lever would move around so 1969 would turn out to be a difficult le mans for Porsche. Enter Jon Wire and well from 1970 the rest was history. In 1971 the 917 was clocked at 241 mph a record that would stand for over 20 years.

Porsche plastic scale model kits are miniature plastic replicas of Porsche sports cars that can be assembled and customized by hobbyists. These kits come in a variety of scales, ranging from 1:64 scale to larger 1:12 or 1:18 scale models.
The kits usually come in a box that contains all the necessary plastic parts, decals, and instructions for assembly. Depending on the scale and complexity of the model, some kits may also include additional components such as metal axles or photo-etched parts.
The plastic parts in the kit must be carefully assembled and glued together using specialized modeling glue, and the decals must be applied to the body to add details such as the car's livery, sponsor logos, and racing numbers. The finished model can then be painted and customized to the hobbyist's liking, with options such as different color schemes, wheels, and other accessories.
Porsche plastic scale model kits are popular among car enthusiasts and collectors, as they provide a fun and engaging way to experience the thrill of building and customizing a Porsche sports car. The kits are also a great way to learn about the engineering and design of Porsche sports cars, as they often include detailed instructions and information about the real-life cars that inspired them.
Overall, Porsche plastic scale model kits offer a unique and rewarding hobby for car enthusiasts and collectors who appreciate the art and engineering of these iconic sports cars.
