Sometimes you've been so busy that once you pass your big milestone, you kind of just... rest.Hence why I hadn't got around writing a GDC recap until now 😁When Frayed Freedom was placed in the European Game Showcase I kind of felt a little weird. Mind you, I'm not insecure about the quality, but it was going to be the first time people were not obligated to like my 'baby', you know? And most of my efforts to contact publishers beforehand also went nowhere, so there was a bit of a vibe of 'let's just get this over with'. But folks, I killed it. Throughout the entire event, I had people come up and talk to me, try out my game, looking incredibly intrigued while playing it and the feedback people gave me was just incredible. Yes, I did have to fix the build like 3 times 15 minutes before the event started, but eh, I've done this before. It always happens. That's just gamedev 😅 So I'm very excited for the next steps. Got some conversations going. Let's see if we can get this little title funded. 🎉

I was interviewed by RTL4 for a small article on the recent Sweet Baby Inc controversy (article in Dutch). Needless to say, the whole fuss has been baffling to me as a professional freelance narrative designer. I don't think I've ever seen my line of work being so misrepresented and misconstrued. Hopefully we can get some of these kids back on track.

Hauma is out now! 🎉Do you like Noir? A little bitty of supernatural? A whole lot of ARG/Davince Code-like playing with facts and fiction? Or do you just like really cool comic-style games? Then is for you! 🕵🏻♀️I was approached last year by the team at SenAm to help out getting Chapter 1 and 2 into shape. My co-creators were a wonderful collection of folks and I had a great time playing in their sandbox. Here's to more games by this wonderful team!Also, it's made in Godot Engine, how cool is that?

And another release of a game I've done the words for 🎉🎉🎉https://lnkd.in/egvZqZ-4"Split" is a Doctor Who fan visual/kinetic novel I was asked to provide the script for. I hadn't worked with this IP before, but I've been a long time fan of the series (one would say even before the reboot 👀), so it certainly didn't feel like a punishment.It's a sweet short story that can be completed under an hour. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I had writing it.It was a lot of fun building castles in this particular sandbox, and I hope Ronak and his crew get to make many more in the future!
