Kay… if you have kids I’m SURE you knew that the Inside Out Blu-ray/DVD came out last Tuesday! My kids were counting down so we couldn’t just watch the movie, we had to have our cousins over and throw a full inside out viewing party!

I put this party together in a day and a half, and the kids had a blast! Making this a special night is easy to do with just a few recipes, printables (down below) and of course a cake!

I started with the 5 emotions, what FOOD could I make for each character! Joy was easy, she was going to be a part of the cake. Sadness was also easy, clearly her tears are the water bottles.

Spray the bottles with blue, matte, spray paint and then wrap them in printables and your done, easy peasy! I think I was most excited about Flaming Cinnamon suckers for anger, love how they turned out!

For Fear it was a little harder, since he’s scared of EVERYTHING, then I remembered a cute shot/preview I saw with Riley doing homework and a spider dangling in front of her and Fear freaking out… so Spider pop’s it is.

And Disgust was EASY, hello Broccoli… but of course I wanted something sweet, so green chocolate popcorn was perfect. Its always a huge hit, easy and looks PERFECT!

Finally I felt like we needed one more treat, for Riley. Riley loves hockey so I thought… Edible Hockey Pucks! Rice cereal treats dipped in chocolate! Easy and delicious!

Now we have food and the movie but I always love to add an activity as well. It’s good to have an intermission with an activity when you have a bunch of kiddo’s activities are always a great option.

I decided to create a stress ball station. 2 balloons each, filling and empty water bottles. For the filling I chose to have rice, lentils andpearl barley. If you want you could also use flour.

Fill the empty water bottles with the filling you want, then blow up a balloon, place the blown up balloon on the top of the open water bottle, this will keep the balloon large while you fill it.

Pour about 1/3 of a cup or so into the balloon, then take it off the water bottle, the balloon will deflate around the filling and get tight. Cut off the top of the balloon, then ring on top, and fold it over. Take the second ballon, cut off the neck, and wrap it around the ball. DONE!

And therest of the party – the backdrop is actually a sheet from a twin sized bed set I got at Target (I actually got EVERYTHING there, one stop shop, I hate having to hit multiple stores).

And of course I needed something to represent the characters. I fell in LOVE with these sweet Tsum Tsum’s, GAH adorable! They also doubled as favors, my nieces and kids loved them!

Finally they had the most adorable Spritz (Target’s paper/party supplies) mini pinata’s, I got a Rainbow pinata for Bing Bong, filled with his candy tears! Perfect end to the party!

The party was a huge success, and super easy to put together. The kids loved the themed food, the stress balls and I have to say the Tsum Tsum were probably the biggest hit of all.
